A new day

Sam had a great night last night. He and the team have found a bit of a groove over the past 12 hours and he is requiring less assistance and doing really well.

The first 24 hours were all about trying what worked for him and although he needed more assistance he wasn't that happy about it (he's his fathers son). He's now on less oxygen and it seems his circulation is switching from a foetal pattern to the pattern that normal, healthy kids have.

We've also discovered that noise is not his favourite thing. There was a bit going on in the NiCU last night which gave him the grumbles. He's now in a lovely quiet little spot enjoying the view.

Katie is improving every hour. Like Sam, she's just getting on with recovery without fuss. Still a bit sore but feeling better. She's currently down at the milking sheds. She had some great time with Ollie yesterday which lifted her spirits. He was so gentle with her; he just knew. Thanks Mum and Dad for being so great with him.

I finally got some sleep after a lovely Shabbat dinner with the Lances and some brilliant cuddle time from my god daughter. Their's and all your prayers seem to be working. Thankyou x
