Welcome to our journey with a child diagnosed with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia or CDH. We are the Burns family; Katie, Owen, 18 month old Ollie and our expectant Cherub, Sam.
Sam was first diagnosed at 19 weeks gestation with a left sided Diaphragmatic Hernia. Since discovering this we have been through every emotion imaginable. This blog is a therapy for us and hopefully a resource for others facing the same journey
Was beautiful seeing you in your mummy's arms this afternoon Sam - just the way it should be. And your daddy couldn't wipe the smile off his face having held you for the first time. Hopefully it won't be long until we can all have a cuddle. Keep going strong precious boy. Love you. Aunty Em xxxx
Ohhh.... So so wonderful to see little Sam looking so good and in his mum and dads arms. I can only imagine how that must feel after the last 2 weeks. Keep going strong Sam. Mum and dad: you both rock! Big kiss, shell xxx
